– I really enjoyed the event as I learnt how documents are stored to protect them. It was fascinating to hold the old Quran’s which were over one hundred years old. Having this opportunity to see behind the scenes was a great experience. Next week this items will be placed in an exhibition at Birmingham Museum and Arts Gallery – Zile Huma
I felt very proud to gain access to this behind the scenes opportunity as this was a first experience for me. It was really interesting to learn how old documents are stored in a controlled temperature unit and the temperature is continuously monitored throughout the day.
I also learnt the Archive is open to public and was very surprised to hear this as I always assumed these items were non assessable to the public – Shibli Begum
I was so proud to see how people value history. We tend to throw anything that is old away. Where is our history – Nasim Akhtar
